Mr Easton said:
“I was deeply concerned when I learned that the Breezemount bus service had been suspended without prior warning due to ongoing contractor works blocking the turning circle. This left residents without vital transport links, causing unnecessary disruption and frustration.”
“Upon investigating the matter, I immediately engaged with Translink and the Council to push for a resolution. The contractor has now committed to investigating the issue and working towards a solution that ensures a safe turning option for the bus.”
“I am delighted that, following these efforts, the Breezemount bus service will now be reinstated. Reliable public transport is essential for local residents, and I will continue to work to ensure that such disruptions do not happen again without proper consultation and mitigation plans in place.”
