Today, Alex Easton MP expressed his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of work coaches, with the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, the Right Honourable Liz Kendall MP, joining him in this commendation. The focus of their praise was on the crucial support work coaches provide in assisting with job applications and interview preparation.

Following the positive response to his Department of Work and Pensions question in Parliament today, Mr. Easton stated:

“The role of work coaches is invaluable. I salute their dedication in assisting individuals with benefit applications, developing CVs, and preparing for interviews. The ability to access training, work experience, and job programs, thereby enhancing employment opportunities, is essential.

Providing support for those facing redundancy, along with benefit assistance and improving job prospects, is vital. Many have benefited from being directed to relevant services and community supports.

While I remain concerned about the level of unemployment in the constituency, I recognize the critical role that work coaches have played in North Down in encouraging employment. It is fitting that their contribution was acknowledged today in Parliament.
