
Alex Easton MP has tabled an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons to recognise the 100th anniversary of J. Wright & Son Butchers in Donaghadee, celebrating a century of dedication to the local community.
Speaking on the presentation of the motion, Mr Easton said:
“It is a privilege to recognise J. Wright & Son Butchers for reaching this incredible milestone. For 100 years, three generations of the Wright family have served the people of Donaghadee and beyond with the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and customer service. Their contribution to the local economy and community spirit is truly remarkable.”

The Early Day Motion highlights the importance of long-standing family businesses and the invaluable role they play in sustaining local communities. It encourages support for independent retailers who continue to uphold traditional skills and provide quality produce.
