I am absolutely delighted that after many years of persistent lobbying and engagement with both local residents and the Department for Infrastructure, we are finally seeing action taken to address the long-standing traffic and parking issues at Seapark in Holywood.
Residents have endured years of frustration, with their streets regularly congested and access blocked due to irresponsible parking by beachgoers. The introduction of double yellow lines along Seapark Road, Seapark Lane and Seapark Mews is a long-overdue but very welcome step that will help restore order and improve road safety for everyone.
While implementation will depend on available resources, this commitment marks a major step forward in addressing the chaos that has affected this residential area for far too long.
I will continue to monitor progress closely and ensure that these measures are delivered without unnecessary delay. This is a clear example of what can be achieved when local voices are heard and acted upon.
