Alex Easton MP has paid tribute to Mrs Karen Cardy following a special presentation at his constituency office marking her retirement as Captain of the 10th Bangor Boys’ Brigade at Ballycrochan Presbyterian Church after more than 40 years of dedicated service.

 

Speaking following the presentation, Alex Easton MP said:

 

“Karen Cardy’s dedication and commitment to the 10th Bangor Boys’ Brigade over more than four decades has been truly outstanding. Through her leadership, encouragement and Christian values, she has helped shape the lives of generations of young people in Bangor.

 

“The Boys’ Brigade plays a vital role in our community, and volunteers such as Karen are at the very heart of that success. Her commitment to the young people of Ballycrochan Presbyterian Church and the wider Bangor area has left a lasting impact that will be appreciated for many years to come.

 

“It was a pleasure to present Karen with this recognition at my constituency office and to personally thank her for her tremendous contribution and faithful service. On behalf of the people of North Down, I wish her every blessing and happiness for the future.”

 

Mr Easton also praised the wider leadership team and volunteers within the 10th Bangor Boys’ Brigade for their continued dedication and service to young people across the community.
