Alex Easton MP Raises the Stakes – Charity Skydive Increased from 7,000ft to 15,000ft for Women’s Aid

North Down MP Alex Easton has announced that he is increasing the height of his upcoming charity tandem skydive from 7,000 feet to an incredible 15,000 feet in a bid to boost fundraising efforts for North Down & Ards Women’s Aid.

Mr Easton originally set himself the challenge of a 7,000-foot jump and a £7,000 fundraising target. However, with just one week remaining before the skydive, he has decided to raise the stakes and take on an even bigger challenge.

Alex Easton MP said:

“I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of people across North Down and beyond. At the time of writing, we have already raised £3,957 towards our £7,000 target, and I want to thank every single person who has donated.

“This is not just a charity—it is a lifeline. Every day, Women’s Aid helps people rebuild their lives with dignity, safety, and hope for the future.

“With a week to go, I have decided to up the ante and increase the jump from 7,000 feet to 15,000 feet. If I’m asking people to dig a little deeper into their6 pockets to help us reach our goal, then it’s only right that I push myself a little further too.

“Domestic abuse affects families and communities across Northern Ireland. The support provided by North Down & Ards Women’s Aid is invaluable, and every pound raised will help them continue their vital work.

“We are now over halfway to our £7,000 target. If everyone who has been considering making a donation does so over the coming days, I am confident we can get there.”

Mr Easton is encouraging members of the public and local businesses to support the appeal over the final week of fundraising.
